Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla - Everything we know so far
By Rafay Faheem 06 May, 20
Ubisoft recently revealed their brand new entry to the Assassin’s Creed franchise in the form of a theatrical trailer, this time we’re going to go to Norway during the time of the Vikings!
Being the 12th major installment in the series, Valhalla will put players in the boots of a Nordic Leader who will lead his clan to fight against the Anglo-Saxons for the prize of English lands. The game will carry over concepts from Odyssey (although, two vastly different time periods) in terms of gameplay as the game is set to be a role-playing game, a direction that has favored the series starting with Origins.
The game has a holiday 2020 release window. As of yet, we have no word on when exactly it will drop. If there is anything to take from release history, we can expect it to drop anywhere between October and November.
Which Platforms will it be on?
The Assassin’s Creed franchise is almost on every major platform, and Valhalla will follow suit as it will release on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Along with current-gen, there is also a planned PS5 and Xbox Series X launch as well. With the future set of the Xbox Series X, if you pre-order the game for Xbox Series X, then you will also be able to play it on your Xbox One.
We haven’t gotten any gameplay yet from Ubisoft, but a few details have been confirmed:
● You can play as a man or a woman
● There will be an in-depth dialogue system (expanding on Odyssey’s dialogue system)
● There will be a building settlements element in the game (in true Viking conqueror fashion)
● There might (not confirmed yet) be naval warfare in the game as well if the trailers are to be believed.
