The Game Awards that were held through 12-13th December had some very interesting announcements and revealed, one of which was Microsoft's newest console generation the Xbox Series X. And for this next-gen console, the sequel to Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice was also revealed as Hellblade 2: Senua's Saga.
The trailer for the highly anticipated new entry showcases the graphical prowess of the Xbox Series X as all of the footage is recorded in-engine, and it looks, breath-taking! Apart from the stunning visuals, the trailer shows Senua chanting and a group of followers behind her watching a human sacrifice. The trailer also flashes back and forth between a group of warriors slowly creeping up to a large mountain. The trailer ends with the mountain actually being a giant and other than this, we have no other information about the premise of the game or whether it’s going to be a direct sequel or not.
As of yet, no other details have been shared by Ninja Theory about the game, and that includes no release date or release window. All we know right now is that it is going to be an Xbox Series X exclusive (not yet confirmed whether it’s timed or not).
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice was an impeccable game for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, and if you want to pick it up before Senua’s Saga drops be sure to pick it up physically or digitally as it is available on both mediums. For those who don’t want to shell out money to get the game at full-price, it is also available on the Xbox Games Pass both for Xbox and PC. Be sure to stay tuned for more!
