Ever since Coronavirus has struck the country and forced people from all walks of life back into their homes, a lot of occasional and veteran gamers have once again turned to gaming for solace in these trying times. Arguably the most popular choice has been Call of Duty: Warzone, largely because of its widespread compatibility, and the fact that it is available to play completely free. Pakistanis, in particular, have completely succumbed to the innovative and fresh gameplay of CoD Warzone.
Naturally, CoD fans in Pakistan wanted to have some sort of representation in the game, and they acted to do just that. Call of Duty: Warzone, responding to the high user traffic from Pakistan and a number of requests, has finally featured the world-famous Pakistani SSG Operator Skin as a part of the game.
Reportedly, it all started when some fans like this one took the initiative to try and get the developers to add the Pakistani SSG skin in their next battle pass. If this is the case, it appears that their efforts have borne fruit since CoD Warzone Season 4 Battle pass will feature the skin. It is pertinent to mention here that it is necessary to own the Season 4 Battle pass to play with this skin. It also needs to be unlocked with a certain number of experience points… becoming an SSG is still hard in video games!
As the resemblance suggests, majority of the fans have concluded that the skin has been modelled off of a real SSG commando in the Pakistan Army. Commando Kayani is a real SSG Commando who went viral particularly because of his tough appearance, coupled with extraordinary talents; Commando Kayani is a black belt, a skydiver, an expert in unarmed combat and the list goes on!
CoD has been famous for featuring real-life personalities, and this strategy has always gained pull from the fans. However, we hope the esteemed SSG is not negatively portrayed in the game.
