Resident Evil 3 Remake is on the way!

By Sohrab Khan 18 Dec, 19

The year 2019 has been a year that has brought forth some of the most anticipated games and remakes in the history of the business. Ranging from the mind-bending world of Control, all the way to the eerie halls of Raccoon City in Capcom’s remake of Resident Evil 2, the gamers were simply spoiled for choices.

RE3

Since the year has come to a close, and we prepare to say goodbye to one of the finest years of gaming, all eyes were now on Playstation’s State Of Play 2019. For our members of the audience who may have no idea what that is, it is an annual event where Playstation reveals their future line-ups and promises to deliver at least one surprise entry to the mix. So far, Playstation has never failed to impress, and I am happy to report that this year was no exception.

After the overwhelming success of Resident Evil 2, the game that has already won the Golden Joystick Award 2019 for the ultimate game of the year, the fans were left with rumors about an unnamed project that Capcom was working on behind closed curtains. Some suggested it was a remake of the outbreak series, while others hinted a more meaningful comeback of two iconic characters from the world of Resident Evil; Jill Valentine and her stalker, Nemesis.

The show went on smoothly, right until a gentle female voice pointed the attention of the audience to a new project Capcom has been working on. It said, “Project Resistance” with the letters RE in the iconic red color.

When the trailer opened, we were left with our hearts pounding out of their places, jaws that dropped all the way to the floor and excitement that just could not be contained. Yes! Resident Evil 3 is now officially confirmed!

Nemesis… Oh, how I missed you!

My love for RE2 is unphased, I admit. However, you cannot argue that there has never been a greater foe than Nemesis. The hideous monstrosity that uttered “Stars!” and chased you throughout the narrow allies and passages. I loved that guy!

With an all-new game engine, a fresh new look, and a little twist in the mix, Resident Evil 3 remake is already headlining as the finest entry for the last year of Xbox One and PS4. What a way to send these two respected giants off.

The twist!

For those who have played the original RE3, there is something that seemed new here. Jill looks into a mirror and sees herself as a zombie. Infected? Maybe, but we will have to wait to find out more when the game is launched in April 2020.

I do not know about you, but just like RE2, I am getting this one pre-ordered right away! For more information, stay tuned and stay connected. Until next time!
