The Deals Are On… And a Surprise Too!

The PlayStation store is doing well to keep us entertained and weather through these dire circumstances. Already, we were provided with two additional games, Uncharted Collection and Journey, coupled with the already impressive lineup of the PS Plus for the month of April 2020. However, something rather interesting caught my eye recently, and I decided to give it a go, and boy am I happy that I made the right call.

Have you ever heard of a game called Hunt Showdown? If you are a PC player, the chances are that you have. On the off chance that you haven’t, don’t worry. I have the perfect way of explaining it to you. The game is essentially a lovechild of Dead By Daylight, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Assassin’s Creed. Sounds strange, right? But I promise you it is by far one of the most refreshing games I have played since Resident Evil 2 (I wasn’t exactly impressed by the RE3, but that has more to do with the way they made nemesis seem less scary).

The Hunt Showdown is up for grabs for a bargain price of $27.99, or if you want all the DLCs, you can grab a copy of the legendary edition for $31.49, saving you 30%. I assure you, this game is worth a shot. You will not regret your purchase, and take it from a guy who is quite selective of the games he plays.

The game is set in an open field where you and maybe your partners, power through to complete bounties. Those aren’t just any bounties either. You are a monster hunter, aiming to free Louisiana from these monstrosities. However, to make things interesting, you are being hunted as well. Apart from you and the obvious monsters, there are other hunters out there, seeking to claim the bounty for themselves. Your job is to kill the monsters, claim the bounty, and not die during the process. If you can’t get your hands on the bounty, kill the other person, and claim the prize to yourself. It is an all-out massacre.

The gameplay is good, the experience is thrilling and slightly tense as well. The game has racked up some serious praises, and that is all the more reason for us games to indulge ourselves into the world where shooting lead and killing beasts is all that matters. A good way to rid yourself of boredom and the lockdown blues.

I hope that you find this game as exciting as I did. Need a card to top up? Gamelist has you covered. Oh, and keep an eye out for the next article as I reveal the next lineup for the PS Plus for the month of May 2020.
