Series of marketing tease occurred before the first sight of the remastered game was officially revealed during a live stream this week. The game is remastered by Vicarious Visions who hold the reputation of remastering the games delightfully and have experience of handling remastering other PS1 games, too, such as Crash Bandicoot. A great amount of faith has been shown by Hawk himself towards the remastering of the game and the work put in by Vicarious Visions. He stated that hopefully, this would lead to a wave of remastering the games and perhaps hinted remastering of Tony Hawk’s parts 3 and 4, too, which were available on the PS2.

If we talk about some old features that the gamers would be looking after in the game, then let me begin with the soundtrack. Yes, most of the original soundtrack will make its return with the game, tracks which are iconic towards the game such as Guerilla Radio, and superman will be in the library; however, a handful of the tracks won’t be seen due to issues towards licensing. A strong wave of nostalgia would hit all the gamers once they get their hands on the game.

Now let’s talk about the modern input to the game. It’s stated that keighley and Hawk discussed new features for both games with Vicarious vision head Jen Oneal, the Pro Skater 1 and 2 would support classic D-pad and modern analog stick controls. The game would feature two modes packed with many new options, Create-A-Park and Create-A-Skater modes would include online play as well, which enables the users to share their gameplay experience.

Furthermore, the game comes with old missions, which the gamers enjoyed a lot; missions like collecting letters and tapes would be present with added challenges to enhance the gamer's experience and increase the fun element to the game.

The game would return with its original characters/avatars, which is something the gamers were looking forward to, the graphics would be advanced and better, and a better gameplay experience shall be available for the gamers. The game is over 20 years old, and the developers do see the challenge in that as the previous trend shows, poor response towards skating games on new platforms and some termed them as over-ambitious. However, an optimistic approach with good intent shall take the remastered version a long way ahead. The game is being handled by a team of professionals who understand what part of the remastered version should be pushed towards the boundary and what part shall still remain as sacred towards the originality of the game.
