Where’s the PS Plus Free Games January 2020 Lineup?

By Sohrab Khan 27 Dec, 19

Okay! Even I was taken by surprise. For those of you who may not know this, there are certain months in a year where the dates are falling in a specific manner, hence causing delays in the reveal of the following month’s lineup.

“What?”

Bear with me on this. Usually, PlayStation announces its next lineup on the last Wednesday of every month, except for the ones where the following month’s first day is also a Wednesday. See what I mean? It was delayed, and most of us forgot about that completely.

“Wait, 25th of December was still the last Wednesday of the month, right?” Yes, but apparently folks at PlayStation have decided not to use such months for the reveal. Here’s the real reason why!

We just entered into boxing day, a day that is eagerly awaited by shoppers throughout the world. Hundreds of thousands of PlayStations would be selling out right now. PlayStation is using this as a chance to rack up some numbers, create some sales and allow new members to have the time to buy PS Plus subscriptions to cash in on the December lineup of games. In all fairness, the December lineup is one hell of a lineup with Titanfall 2 leading the charge.

Now, we will have to wait till the 1st of January 2020 to learn what lineup PlayStation has in store for us for the same month. It will certainly be epic as is seen throughout the years. All eyes on the calendar then.

In the meantime, be sure to check out the current lineup, if you haven’t already done so. Titanfall 2 is worth every penny, and the best part is that you can get that for free with an active PS Plus subscription.

I shall keep you posted on what the lineup is for the next month. Till then, I wish you all a very happy new year from myself and Gamelist. May the next year be full of incredible games, eSports, and arguably the best way to end the era of the PS4 and Xbox One. See you in January 2020!
